Lane Olsen Clark passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday March 18, 2022 after valiantly persevering multiple health challenges. He was surrounded by his children and loving wife both in life and in death.

Lane was born September 11, 1951 in Salt Lake City, UT to Richard Hone Clark and Beth Estelle Olsen Clark and grew up in Farmington and Holladay, Utah.
He graduated from Olympus High School in 1969 and then attended the University of Utah from 1969-70.

Lane had a testimony of Jesus Christ and served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from June 1971-73 in the Germany North Mission. While in the LTM he met David Dixon and immediately felt a deep connection and kinship. It was because of this meeting that Lane met and fell in love with David's sister Diane. Upon his return from his mission, he studied at BYU and obtained a B.S. degree in accounting in 1976.

He married his sweetheart Diane Dixon July 8, 1977 in the Salt Lake City, UT Temple and together they had three children. Lane loved his family and was so proud of his heritage and family name. He was passionate about keeping extended family connected and teaching his children and grandchildren about his ancestors.

Relationships were paramount in Lane's life. He was a lifelong entrepreneur and enjoyed meeting new people through business. He loved nature and the beauties of the earth. He liked to golf, read, travel and enjoyed sports, especially his BYU cougars.

He served our country in the Air Force as a young man and faithfully in many church callings throughout his life. He also served as a missionary with his eternal companion Diane at the Joseph Smith Memorial building.

He is a beloved husband to Diane, father to Christy (Matthew), Andrew (Heidi), Kathryn (Daniel) and grandpa and papa to 7 grandsons and 4 granddaughters.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Ross, Greg and younger sister Alene.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints Chapel located at 828 South Center Street, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8:00 PM at the chapel and from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the service. Interment will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Drive (1495 East), Millcreek, Utah.
