Larry was a true cowboy, both in body and heart. Hardworking, honest, and willing to aid those in need, he exemplified those characteristics we associate with a Cowboy. One of ten children in a close-knit family, he learned early to love and appreciate his family. When distance separated them, his brothers and sisters were always in his heart and prayers.

Larry had a special place in his heart for his mother, who passed away when he was 23 years old. His love for his mother showed in how he treated those around him, especially women. As his younger sister, Peggy, said, "He knew how to treat women." The memories he shared brought his mother to life for his children, who could not meet her.

Growing up on a ranch and farm, he learned the power of hard work and integrity. His love of God followed him throughout his life and carried him through many challenges, including the death of his first wife, Donna. From ranching, music, which was always important, became front and center as he performed with his wife and kids in their family band Family Touch. Then, back to ranching, farming and driving a semi-truck. Larry enjoyed the opportunities God gave him.

Larry spent his last years enjoying the time he spent with his second wife, Marylynn, dividing their time between Washington State and Alberta, Canada. Larry and Marylynn spent their time serving the Lord in the temple and other church callings. He loved his grand and great-grandchildren dearly and looked forward to the time he shared with them. When all was said and done, the family was his greatest love. Larry will be greatly missed. The memories he created will remain with each of us, allowing us to smile and know we have been blessed because he was in our lives.
