Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that I share we lost our mom on November 30th, 2022 after her battle with pneumonia and COVID.

Mom was a fighter her whole life either on the softball field with her friends at El Castillo or on the volleyball court with her San Jose cousins or in life as she raised my sister and I with her waitress career and dad's restaurant salary. Not sure how they did it but on limited money we never wanted for anything except more time, as we find ourselves wishing for today most of all.

Mom loved and strived for her family's happiness including my sister and I and our cousins Mona and Lizzy and bragged about her 6 grandchildren, Ashlee, Brittany, and John (she helped raise them all), Geoffrey, Mimi, and Sophia, and her stories of the day were filled with love and pride in each of her grandchildren's accomplishments, especially her great grandson Jaxson, she could not stop talking about anything he did recently.

She would talk of her longest friends Barbara and "Di" (aunti di) and friends at the senior center and her Filipino and Guamanian cousins but no relationship in her life matched the closeness she had with her brother Carlos Palacios.

She is now in heaven with him and he's probably already teasing her, unless they are watching a game that is. Flash that sassy red mom. She was surrounded by those she loved and we were able to give her comfort as she passed. 🙏😢😭
