Lester LeRoy Barber, born November 26, 1940, passed away February 7, 2025 at the age of 84 at his home in Lehi, Utah with his wife, LuVilla, by his side.

Lester was born in Thermopolis, Wyoming to Irving George Barber and Katherine Lucinda Hale Barber. He attended school there and graduated in 1959 from Thermopolis High School. He and LuVilla Thurman were married August 15, 1960 in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in August 1970.

They raised four sons, George, Les Jr., Marty, and Jason. Their daughter, Stacy Noel, lived only 6 days and passed away in January 1970.

Les worked in construction for eleven years before starting his own company called Barco Construction in 1971. He owned and worked for the company until George and Marty took over the business. Les was a hard worker and had a very friendly personality. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed being active within the local community. He worked hard and enjoyed helping others. Les was a certified scuba diver and enjoyed traveling with his wife.

Les is survived by his wife LuVilla Thurman Barber, sons George (Teresa) Barber, Les Jr. (Diane) Barber, Marty (Janet) Barber, his daughter-in-law Cindy Barber, 16 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Irving & Katherine, his daughter Stacy Noel, and his son Jason.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 6-8pm at the Sego Lily LDS Chapel located at 880 North 700 East Lehi, Utah. Funeral services will be held the next day, Thursday, February 20, 2025 with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am and the funeral will begin at 11:00am. All viewings and services will be held at the Sego Lily LDS Chapel.
