Lewis "Buzz" LeRoy Peterson, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend returned home to our loving Heavenly Father on May 4th, 2022, he was 86. He was born July 25, 1935 to James LeRoy and Verda Lewis Peterson.

He grew up in Lehi where he learned the value of hard work by working on the family farm. He graduated from Lehi High School in 1953. In December 1954, he joined the Operating Engineers Local #3 Union where he began his lifelong career as a crane operator. He was very well known and sought after as an operator. He was very proud of his membership in the union and stayed an active member throughout his life.

He married Connie Jean Cannell April 12, 1956. Together they raised their 4 children, Cathy, Buzz, Colette and Jared in their home in Lehi. He was a dedicated husband and father and always put his family first. Connie passed away September 17, 1994. He later married Tamria Justice on December 21, 1996, at which time he welcomed her children Aundrea, Jim, Roxanne and Marty as part of his family.

Buzz worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, riding 4 wheelers and traveling. He had a green thumb and enjoyed planting and growing a garden. He enjoyed sharing the abundance of his harvest with family and friends until his health kept him from doing so a few years ago.

He enjoyed helping people and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. It didn't matter what the task was, he was there to help. He was truly loved by everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Tamria. Children Colette (Glen) Gines of Kamas, Jared (Dawn) Peterson of Woodland, Aundrea (Steve) Warby of Vernal, Jim (Julie) Justice of Vernal, Roxanne (Rick) Pummell of Vernal and Marty Justice of Vernal, sister Alice Webb of Alpine, 27 Grandchildren, 52 Great grandchildren and 10 Great, great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Connie, children Cathy Atkinson, Buzz Peterson,and Jerry Allen Justice, 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his sisters Virginia Philips and Lois Hampton.

Funeral Services will be held May 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Wing Mortuary in Lehi. There will be a viewing prior at 10:00 AM. Internment at the Lehi City Cemetery.
