Lorene Carlton, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 86, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Willard and Cleone Cleghorn on June 11, 1937 in American Fork, Utah. She was one of seven children – having three brothers and three sisters who have all preceded her in death. Lorene graduated from American Fork High School in 1955 where she earned a scholarship to Utah State University.

On August 19, 1955, Lorene married Kenneth Carlton in the Salt Lake Temple and settled in Lehi Utah. They raised eight children Gary (Jean) Carlton, Steve (Kellie) Carlton, Dennis (Mary Ann) Carlton, Brenda (Brent) Pulley, Linda (Vaughn) Olsen, Janae (Wayne) Anderson, Annette (Glenn) McIntosh, and Natalie (Britt) Clark. The highlight of her life was having family gatherings with her children, 21 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Lorene had a lifelong love of music and was a gifted pianist and organist. She served in many capacities in The Church and in the community.  She also loved  working on family history, sewing, crocheting, and baking. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at the LDS church, 481 East 300 North Lehi, Utah.  Family and friends may call Monday evening April 1, 2024 from 6-8:00 pm at the church and one hour prior to the services Tuesday morning.  Interment, American Fork City Cemetery.
