On Monday, August 29th 2022, Lucille Phillips, surrounded by family, passed away at the age of 78. Lucille was born in McNary, AZ on June 26, 1944 to Marguerite Mineer and Raymond Colvin.
Growing up in Arizona helped Lucille develop her passion for the Native culture and all things Western. She was an avid reader and phenomenal cook. She enjoyed horseback riding, camping and cheering for her team, the Broncos. She was known for her compassion and was a mother to all. Lucille will forever be remembered as a beautiful, strong, and fiercely loving woman who truly believed that your hand should always have a drink and everyone was family. She will be greatly missed.
Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Larry W. Phillips, both of her parents, Lee Williams (brother) and Alene Schroder (sister). She is survived by her children, Ron Anderson (Ann), Dale Anderson, Bob Anderson (Shelly), Juston Anderson, Kyle Phillips (Mikel), Melissa Phillips (Ryan); her 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother-in-law Gerald Schroder, sister-in-law Charlene Williams, and extended family in Arizona.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 6-8pm at Wing Mortuary located at 118 E Main Street, Lehi, UT. The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. at Wing Mortuary. A short viewing will be held 1 hour prior at 10am, with the service from 11-12pm. The burial will begin at 1pm at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park at 17111 South Redwood Road, Bluffdale, UT.
