On Thursday, February 2, 2023, Lynn Wilson Peck, beloved son, father, and grandfather passed away at age eighty-eight. He was born at the Old Lehi Hospital, April 23, 1934, delivered by Dr. Eddington. Lynn was son of Elisha Odell and Lileth Peterson Peck and grandson of Elisha Peck, Jr. and Elizabeth Jane Wilson. He was raised on the Peck Dairy Farm where he lived his first twenty years. His first job at age five was to walk to the barn to get milk with the bucket on his head. Later he learned to milk cows, haul hay, thresh corn, harvest sugar beets, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and whatever else the farm required.

Lynn attended Lehi schools and LDS seminary. He played football and was a quarterback for three years. He was involved in track, javelin, and played the clarinet. He graduated from Lehi High School, May 23, 1952. He had many memories of Old Lehi, where at at age ten rode his motorcycle to Wines Park and the Royal Theater. He rode horses to school at age twelve. On historic Main Street, he would buy groceries at Price Brothers and guns from Hutch's.

Lynn married Arlene Slater of Pleasant Grove. The two met at a school dance after a basketball game. The couple were married June 9, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple. Lynn graduated from BYU in 1956, where he majored in Industrial Arts and minored in Architectural Drafting. Beginning in 1957, he trained as a pilot for the United States Air Force (USAF). First stationed in San Antonio and later Mission, Texas, he finished his training at Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, D.C., achieving the rank of Captain.

While in active service, Lynn and Arlene had two of their five children. After the service, he built his Lehi home circa 1960 having rural address RFD Box 131. Over the years he was employed as a shop teacher, worked for Consolidated Western Steel, U.S. Steel, and Hercules Powder Company. He engaged in motel construction, worked for Metro Life Insurance, and was an estimator for Pollard Inc. Shortly thereafter he co-founded Peck and Peckham Asphalt Co. located in Riverton, Utah. Post retirement he enjoyed fixing and selling slightly wrecked cars to provide affordable transportation for kids, grandkids, and many others.

As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lynn served in several callings including choir member, ward clerk, stake Sunday School superintendent, and counselor in the Elder's Quorum. Exceptional at nearly everything he undertook, Lynn truly was loved and admired by all. He is survived by his children Michael (Elizabeth) Peck, Tori (Allen) Gerber, Kimberley (Ray) Worthen, Derek, and Justin. Preceded in death by parents Odell and Lileth, siblings Dean, Earl, Bruce, and Elwyn, and lovely wife Arlene. Together they have five children, thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the Sego Lily Chapel, 880 North 700 East, Lehi, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening February 10th from 6-8:00 PM at the church and one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning. Interment will follow in the Lehi City Cemetery with Military Honors.
