Marie Tanner
Allred
Nov 10, 1943 — Jan 12, 2025
Marie Tanner Allred, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2025.
Marie Tanner Allred was born to loving parents, Thelma Mary Hatch Tanner (mother), and Henry Lyle Tanner (father) on November 10, 1943, at 10:30 in the evening, in Payson, Utah County.
On May 25, 1962, she graduated from Payson High School in Payson, Utah, where she enjoyed being a part of 4-H, winning many ribbons. She also enjoyed being an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During this time, at a dance, she met the love of her life, Earl Wayne Allred. They were married at the Manti Temple on Dec. 9, 1965.
She loved to read, watch old westerns with Wayne, and Crochet.
Marie fought hard to stay here on earth, surrounded by many loved ones, from January 7th until she took her last breath. Even as her body grew weak, her mind remained strong. So strong, in fact, she still made sure to let her doctors and nurses know what she didn't like with a shake of her head and a roll of her eyes. As she started to pass, she told of loved ones on the other side pulling at her arm, telling her it was time to go. Even before she started to decline, she was already bedbound, but she always made sure to keep track of every child and grandchild. She was an angel to those who loved her and the heart of the family.
Marie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, baby Son Tanner, Lyle J. Tanner, and Vern Tanner, a granddaughter Kassandra Robinson, and a great-grandchild Orion Allred.
She is survived by her loving husband, Earl Wayne Allred, her siblings: Dale (Lauren) Tanner, Lynn (Cindy) Tanner, Lynda (Boyd) Wilkins, Delyla (Paul) Chalker, Arlen (Patty) Tanner, Jeanette (Jim) Webb, and her nine children: Kirk (Serena), Nick (Ellen), Toni Green (Royd), Kenneth (Anne), Jared (Stella), Josh, Blandy, Chad, and Monty.
She leaves behind 20 grandchildren: Andrew, Sean, Monika (Kirk), Ethan, Austin, Tallen, Nikell (Nick), Sadie, Shelane, Nate, Landon, Haydon (Toni Green), Nicholas, Ana Sophia (Jared), Britanie, Tiana (Josh), Kaicee, Olivia, Jocelyn (Chad), and Dayton (Monty). 5 grandchildren-in- law Craig, Tyler, Nikaya, Kaitlin, and Luciana, 3 great-grandchildren: Corbin (Shelane), Riley, and Amelia (Sadie).
The viewing will be at Wing Mortuary, located at 118 East Main Street, Lehi, Utah, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 16.
There will be a viewing held at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, at Wing Mortuary. Following the funeral, her body will be laid to rest at the Lehi City Cemetery. Her spirit will carry on, awaiting her reunion with her eternal family.
