Marilyn Bessie Nielsen Hamner age 82 passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 26, 2025 at Stonehenge Nursing Home with her son by her side.

Marilyn was born on September 10, 1942 to Daisy Newman Nielsen and Ross Nielsen in Lehi Utah. She met her soulmate John Franklin Hamner at the Apollo Dance Hall in American Fork. They were married on August 31,1962 in the Manti Temple. Together they had 4 children Scott, Jeff, Monica, and Toby.

At a young age Marilyn was an avid tap dancer and loved ballet. She also had a passion for sewing. She was always making something for someone. Marilyn was a preschool teacher. She had the pleasure of teaching her grandchildren in preschool. One of Marilyn's goals in life was to ride in an airplane. In 2022 her son Toby took her to see her son Jeff in Texas and she was so excited.

One thing we will all remember is her voice always saying Okey Dokey. She always stayed up until 2 in the morning to watch Chuck Norris. Marilyn always welcomed everyone with open arms. She will be missed! We all love you!

Marilyn is preceeded in death by her husband John F. Hamner, her parents Ross Nielsen and Daisy Newman Nielsen, her sister Ann Christine Nielsen Thayne, and her daughter-in-law Michele Tallerico Hamner

Marilyn Survived by her children Scott Hamner, Jeff Hamner (Aurelie), Monica Hamner Kuhni (Karl), Toby Hamner, grandchildren Brittany Hamner, Jordan Hamner, Kueper Kuhni, Kensington Kuhni, great grandchildren Kennon Hamner, Beau Hamner, Colt Hamner.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 1, 2025 at Wing Mortuary 118 East Main Street Lehi, Utah at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held One hour prior to services. Interment Lehi City Cemetery.
