Marjorie Garrett
Withers
Sep 28, 1947 — Dec 9, 2021
Marjorie Garrett Withers, 74, passed away December 9, 2021 in Lehi surrounded by her family. She was born September 28, 1947 in Murray, Utah to Rex Bertrand Garrett and Edith Sells Garrett. She married her high school sweetheart, Ivan Harold Withers on March 4, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have been married 55 years.
Marjorie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has always had a strong testimony. She served with her whole heart in every position asked of her. Her favorite position was working with the primary children. Her greatest love was serving her Heavenly Father.
Marjorie graduated from Bingham High School and soon after received her Comptometer School certification where she worked for the genealogical society for the church because her typing skills were so flawless. She spent her adult life being a wife, mother, and homemaker, a skill she was exceptional at because of her drive to keep going and her organizational skills.
Marjorie loved cooking and gathering with her family. Spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy and in return, they all loved her deeply. She enjoyed reading and playing the piano. These things became harder as her health diminished, but she and Ivan were able to study the gospel together and it became a special time for them.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Ivan: children: Jami (Kevin) Rindlisbacher, Scottsdale; Lisa (K.C.) Jensen, Bluffdale; Justin (Connie) Withers, Lehi; Melissa Withers, Bluffdale; Lori (Brian) Munson, Houston; 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dorothy Oldham, So. Jordan; Maxine Crellin, Sandy; JoAnn Davis, Green River WY.
Preceded in death by parents; siblings: Grant Rex Garrett, Linda Bills; brothers-in-law: Russell Oldham, Jerry Crellin, Bob Davis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lehi Utah Jordan River Stake Center 1174 S 1700 W Lehi where friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Vine Bluff Cemetery in Nephi.
