On May 9, 1957 Jim Lee Fillingim and Genile Daybell Fillingim welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world and named her Mary. She brought them incredible joy. She was followed by six other siblings, Lane (Laura), Donna Davenport (Randy), Shane, Becky Redford (Steve), Kathy Swenson (Darren) and Mac (Laurie).

At an early age Mary loved sewing and orange juice. And that never changed throughout her life. When she was a year and a half old, orange juice was all that she wanted for Christmas, and it was the last drink she asked for in this life. Mary also had an amazing talent for sewing and blessed the lives of all of her family members with quilts, clothing, prom dresses, it didn't matter. If you needed it, Mary could sew or crochet it for you and she loved doing it.

Mary grew up in Orem Utah, and attended Orem High School. She was an amazing older sister to her six siblings. Once a year her family would spend a week on horseback in the Uintah Mountains. They would fit all eight of them into the cab of their 1-ton truck, and carry the horses in the bed of the truck with a rack on it. This meant that the youngest children were on laps or sitting on the floorboards on the passenger side of the truck and no one thought a thing about it.

It is no secret that Mary loved to camp. She would spend entire summers camping with her kids, or by herself, with her husband Glen coming up whenever he could get time off work. Even this past summer she spent a week camping with her parents and siblings. Now she has gone on ahead to hold a beautiful camping spot for the family. She always knew how to pick them, and we can't wait to see her there.

Mary always thought it would have been fun to be a pioneer and cross the plains. Truth be told, she worked just as hard and had just as many trials as our ancestral pioneers. Her rewards will be glorious.

Mary met her true love, Glen James Burrows and was married on March 4, 1977 and sealed in the Manti Temple on May 5, 1979. They had six beautiful children. Travas James (Kristi), Dustin William (Heidi), Angela Genile, Sterling Glen (Nicole), Melissa Fern Mehinovic (Enis), and was preceded in death by Milo Miles. They are grandparents to 25 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mary's love for her children and grandchildren is without limits. She would do anything for them, and she loved being with them more than anything else.

Mary loved to serve, if she saw a need she would find a way to fulfil it. She also loved talking with others and hearing their stories and sharing her own. Her handwriting was beautiful and she would send hand written letters and Christmas cards every year. She always liked to keep her hands busy, when she could no longer sew, she would do Zentangle and created some beautiful works of art.

At age 64, Mary passed from this life to the next, early in the morning on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She was in the arms of her loving husband, Glen, who truly loved her with all his heart, she was his princess and he took great care of her. Mary had suffered a car accident on May 25, 2019 and those injuries had caused her to undergo many, many surgeries and recoveries. She fought a good fight and was an amazing example of love, courage and forgiveness. She felt that this challenge, although hard to endure made her family closer and stronger and that is all she cared about. She always looked for the good.

Funeral services will be held at the Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, UT on Monday, October 4, 2021. The viewing will be at 10:00 am and the funeral at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Charleston Cemetery, where she will rest next to her Grandparents Theo and Lucy Daybell.
