Mary Louise "Mugga" Johansen passed away Tuesday, November 15th at the age of 81 after enduring many health issues over the past several years. She was born in Idaho Falls on April 24, 1941, to Hyrum Perry Turner and Donna Irene (Park) Turner. Louise was the eldest of seven children.

Louise is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Michael Johansen. Married for over 40 years and could often be seen kissing one another. Also preceded in death by her brother Harold Turner. Louise is survived by her siblings: Duane Turner (Opal), Lynette Saccomanno, Carolyn Mustard (Kevin), Debra Turner, and Lorie Turner. Her four children: Deanne Phelps, Lisa Lundquist, Dawn Sabey (Casey), and Michael Johansen. Four grandchildren whom she adored: Jeremy Phelps, Josh Sims (Samantha), Jennica Sims, and Jaden Sabey.

Louise graduated from Jordan High School, attended Salt Lake Community College, and ran a family business with her husband and son. She also worked at Intermountain Healthcare for over 20 years helping hospice patients and managing the hospice volunteers.

Louise loved to read, garden, and travel - taking pictures of churches and trees to her heart's content. She had many grand adventures with Don and the kids, as well as her sisters and cousins; even went international with Lisa. Her tastes in music eclectic; her handmade crochet and crafts lovely; and her sense of humor wicked. She was a warm, beautiful lady that touched numerous lives and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, aides, and therapy specialists who have taken care of Mom over the years. We appreciate everyone who took the time to give her a call or drop in for a visit - she loved and cherished you all.
We are especially grateful to Mike for being Mom's rock and always advocating for what was best for her medically and her overall well-being. The patience, kindness, time, and effort he devoted to taking care of all her affairs has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be announced at a later date.
