Nathan William Allen, 23, passed peacefully from the loving arms of his family to the loving arms of his Heavenly Parents on November 25, 2020, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Born September 30, 1997, in Portland, Oregon,

Nathan was known for his intelligence, wit, kindness, and perseverance. As a child, Nathan lived in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he loved Legos, Star Wars, and being outside with family and neighbors. Later, he was a top student who enjoyed running track and cross country for Lehi High School where he made lifelong friends. Nathan served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Singapore and Malaysia speaking Mandarin until his cancer was discovered. Thanks to modern medicine, prayers, and his humility and determination, his time was prolonged and enjoyable, and he made precious memories with his family as he battled cancer.

He enjoyed trips with his family, building a family cabin, a year at BYU, and serving in his church callings and the temple weekly. Other interests included snowboarding, biking, kayaking, and fishing. Nathan exhibited his determination by placing fifth in his first marathon, despite extreme weather conditions; hiking Kings Peak in a day; and being his dad's best help in the 4-year cabin building process.

Nathan is survived by his parents, William and Mary Allen, and his siblings, Emily (Jordan) Barrett, Carolyn, Alissa, and Jason, along with a niece, Eleanor, and a large, loving extended family including his grandparents, Richard and Janette Allen and Graham and Jean Hawkins, all of Lehi. We take great comfort in knowing Nathan's strong and valiant spirit lives on and we will see him again.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 10 am at the Lehi Utah Pheasant Point Stake Center, 890 West 3070 North, Lehi. Due to COVID restrictions, the service is limited to immediate family but all may view it online at https://go.bretep.me/nathan-allen. A graveside service will follow at the Lehi City Cemetery, 1525 N 600 E, Lehi.
