Pamela Ann Maynes Jensen passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024.  She was born to Alfred Donald Maynes and Virginia Grace Farlow Maynes on May 5, 1947 in Tacoma, Washington.

She had been married to Frank William (Bill) Stewart for 20 years where she had three children.  She was married to Bruce Schaefer for 21 years and then was able to find and marry a wonderful man J. Bradford (JB) Jensen in October, 2010.  He passed away in December, 2021.

She had served in many church callings over the years including two church service missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with her husband JB on Vashon Island near Tacoma, Washington.  Her greatest childhood memories with her grandparents were on Vashon Island.

The highlight of her life was her time spent working as the Director of Family History and Genealogical Research at BYU in Provo, Utah from 1978 - 1982.  She had opportunities to work with the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She received accolades from Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Supreme Court Justice Byron White and many others.

She is survived by her children:  Samantha (Tim) Skidmore, Emily (Chris) Wood and Joshua (Misty) Stewart.  She is also survived by her siblings Cheryl VanBuskirk, Scott (Stephanie) Maynes, Jan (Ron) Ulberg, Nancy (Paul) Jones and Todd (Sue) Maynes.  She is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband JB Jensen, parents, grandparents and her sister Karen.  She was very excited to see them.

Pam's final wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread in the Puget Sound off Vashon Island.  She also did not want a funeral or memorial service and so we will honor her wishes.  We appreciate the Ashford Assisted Living and Serenity Hospice for providing her peace and comfort in her final days.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
