Patricia Nicholes Hampton passed away on November 22, 2023 in Lehi, Utah.

The daughter of Lee A. Nicholes and Jo Ann Blackley Nicholes, she was born December 5, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  My mom & dad were married almost 10 years and were getting ready to go on a mission when my mom got sick. She thought she had the flu but was pregnant with me. I am the oldest; I have a sister and brother whom I love so much.

I got married at a young age (thought I knew it all) and had two boys named Don & Jeff. I later got divorced and met the love of my life Roy Hampton, we dated for almost two years and got married on August 29, 1988 in Lehi, Utah in Roy's parent's back yard, we loved it!

My husband Roy had one child named Royce our boys loved playing together. We took them camping, fishing, hunting, four wheeling, you name it, anything outdoors we loved as a family!

I grew up in Alpine, Utah. Lived in Las Vegas for 10 years, then moved back to American Fork, where I had my first apartment on my own.  I worked at KenCraft in Alpine making designs on candy canes. When I got married it was too far to drive. We bought Roy's grandparent's home in Lehi; it was built in 1864. Throughout our years there we were always fixing it up, it was a great home. I went to work for the Alpine School District, I worked at Lehi Elementary where our boys went to school, I worked in the kitchen and was off during the summer. I eventually got a full-time job and had many good jobs over the years. In 2014 my husband told me to stay home and take care of the girls (our dogs) and the house etc. My husband worked at General Refractories for 30 years I was so impressed. He made the change and got a job as a sales rep. so his office was at home and anywhere his phone was, I enjoyed spending so much time with him.

As our boys were growing up, they played basketball, football, and soccer, but baseball was their passion. My husband coached them through all the years until graduation.

When our boys were all grown up, we built a barn and got two horses and all the accessories. We enjoyed riding together and at the time had Aussie dogs we took with us. Tubbs would never walk in front of the horses, he was afraid they'd get him, but at home he would chase them in the field and jump up and chew at their tails, once he got kicked & lost some teeth. I started calling him toothless Tubbs. Ha-ha, I had to share that. My favorite place to ride was at Salamander Flats up AF Canyon, but we had many beautiful places we would ride.

So many stories to tell but I'd like to close by saying how much I love all of my family.

I was Preceded in death by my parents: Lee and Jo Ann Nicholes, Husband: Roy Hampton, and my sons: Jeffrey Hampton & Don Hampton.

I'm sorry, I love all my friends, but we are having family only at my funeral.
