Paul Campbell Garner passed away July 1, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 74. Paul was born June 3, 1952, in Burley, Idaho to Charles LeRoy and Gladys Campbell Garner. Paul was the seventh of eight children; with five older sisters, one older brother, and one younger brother.

Paul spent his early childhood in Burley, Idaho on a farm where he learned the value of hard work and family. When he was 14, his family moved to Orem, and then Provo, Utah.

Paul attended Provo High where he gained a lifelong love for wrestling. A love he shared with his sons, and later grandsons. After graduating from Provo High, Paul served a mission in Georgia and South Carolina where he learned to love and serve the great people of the South.

After returning from his mission, Paul attended Brigham Young University. Soon, the Canadian beauty Elsie Heninger moved into his ward, and they began dating. They became quickly inseparable and were married April 19, 1974. Together they had six children; four daughters and two sons.

Paul was a master at problem solving and developed an expertise in construction and anything mechanical. Over the years, he owned and operated several construction companies. In the later years of his career, he specialized in industrial construction & management. His work was his hobby, and he was happiest when he was driving a piece of heavy equipment. If you heard smooth jazz, you knew where to find Paul working.

With an impeccable sense of humor, Paul was always armed with his quick wit and an even quicker dad joke. He was often the first to jump in with a smile and serve whenever there was a need. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Paul put his faith first and treated everyone he met with kindness and generosity. His family was the most important thing in his life, and he loved them deeply.

Paul is survived by his wife, Elsie Heninger Garner, their six children: Jamie Garner, Mandy (Brady) Spencer, Michael (Marissa) Garner, Lisa (Kade) Asay, Steven (Emma) Garner, and Angela (Corbin) Rogers, 19 grandchildren, and his siblings: Barbara Gerratt, Janice Tanner, Louise Ward, and Suzanne Canaan.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Gladys and Charles LeRoy Garner, and his siblings: Carol Griffeth, Don Garner, and Charles Garner.

A viewing will be held Thursday, July 9, from 6–8 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 E Main St, Lehi, UT 84043. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10, at 11 a.m., with a viewing preceding the service from 9:30–10:30 a.m. at the Jordan Willows Stake Center, 2161 Grays Dr. Lehi, UT 84043.
