Paul "Tyler" Hawkins, beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle, business owner, coach, friend, and mentor unexpectedly passed away in his home Nov. 26, 2021

Tyler was born to Roger and Deanna Hawkins on May 23, 1976 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He was the youngest of 5 children. He graduated from Raymond High School in 1994. After graduation, he moved to Utah and started painting with his brother Kelly. A few years later he started Xavier Paint Contracting. He grew this business for the last 23 years. He was more than a boss to his crew, he was an inspiration.

He married the love of his life Kim Dunn on Nov. 21, 1997. Their chance encounter at a gas station where he noticed her long legs led to a first date. They were sealed as an eternal family in the Mount Timpanogos Temple in June of 2003. He loved the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved working with the youth and serving his Father in Heaven.

His utmost dedication was to his family. He loved being a dad to his four sons and was a fierce supporter and champion of all their endeavors. He was always happy to learn new things. He shared that passion for knowledge with his boys. They will never forget how he loved life and lived every day to the fullest.

Tyler had a smile and a beam of positivity that lit up every room. His warm personality and big smile would instantly put you at ease. Everyone who knew him saw him as a genuine, caring friend and loved his humor and playful demeanor. He would always lift up those around him. He put everyone ahead of himself and taught grace and compassion by the way he lived.

John Wooden said "A good coach can change a game, a great coach can change a life". Tyler spent endless hours coaching and mentoring young men on and off the court and inspired them to reach higher. There are hundreds of players and families that are grateful for the positive impact Tyler made in their lives. When Tyler entered a room you would notice his walk, his confidence and his smile. He would have answers in difficult times and found joy in every aspect of life. He knew how to have fun and relate to people. He was known to pick up a team member 20 miles away and take him to the game. He believed in and gave confidence to every kid he coached. That's what the boys respected most about him and what his family will always cherish.

Coaching led to tournaments all over the nation and often, Tyler would rent a 15 passenger van to be chauffeur, coach, mentor and fun master. These tournaments often included a night of bowling. It made for memorable getaways full of laughs, bowling tips and good times. It was never clear who was having the best time, all the kids surrounding Tyler, or Tyler himself.

The loss of this positive, upbeat, optimistic man makes the world less bright but his legacy will live on.

Survived by his wife Kim of 24 years, His children Kayden (Cassidy), Tyson, Braxton, and Easton. His parents Roger and Deanna Hawkins, Greg and Ilene Dunn. His siblings LorRee (Brian); Lisa (Marvin); Kelly (Sandra) and Ryan (Joanna); Greg; Kristin; Sam (Cassie); Kasi (Dax) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and Brother-in-law Ryan Cassidy.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. The Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Lehi East Stake Center, 851 North 1200 East. Interment will follow the service in the Lehi City Cemetery.
