Pauline Hadfield Roberts, age 64, was mercifully taken from her earthly journey to join her Savior and loved ones on the morning of September 15th, 2023. She was with her loving husband at the time of her passing. Born on July 23rd, 1959, in Brigham City, Utah, to Richard Hadfield and Loretta Ward Hadfield. Her love of the Lord was woven throughout every aspect of her life. Her greatest joy and legacy is reflected in the lives of her children and grandchildren.

Growing up in Brigham City, Polly's innate and infectious fun-loving personality drew people to her, endearing her to everyone she met. She was immensely popular and cherished by both friends and family alike. Actively involved in cheerleading, choir, and student council, her warmth, humor, and the exceptional way she made everyone feel special left an indelible mark and forged lasting bonds.

On May 18th, 1978, Polly married her eternal love, Merrill Kay Roberts, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were introduced at BYU and embarked on their family journey in Provo, later moving to American Fork, where they nurtured and raised their seven children. Polly was resolute in imparting the gospel of Jesus Christ to her children through scripture, teachings of the prophets, music, intimate conversations, and, most significantly, her own exemplary life.

After receiving a brain cancer diagnosis, she gathered her children and grandchildren to share a pivotal message: the profound impact the Book of Mormon had on her life. Her love for this sacred book was fervent, and she encouraged everyone to immerse themselves in its teachings.

As a young mother, Polly faced numerous health challenges, enduring multiple brain surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, back and hip surgeries, and constant nerve pain in her legs. Throughout these trials her faith in Christ never wavered. She said, "I would talk to the Lord all night, those were wonderful times. He was so close at that time that I really missed that time when I got better." She continued to make deep connections with many, even while confined to a wheelchair. Her love and support were met with reciprocal kindness from those she had touched.

Pauline is survived by her loving parents, Richard and Lorretta (Ward) Hadfield, her five brothers: Philip, Gary, Randy, Jon, Michael, her husband Merrill Kay Roberts, her daughters Suzanne (Matthew) Bushman, Michelle (Tanner) Ensign, her five sons Todd (Heidi), Benjamin (Laura), Scott (Brittany), Jesse (Jamie), Joel (Morgan), and her 25 beloved grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her grandson Beckham Holbrook Roberts.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the medical professionals who played a vital role in extending Polly's earthly journey, cherishing every precious moment they shared.
