Perry Brooks
Walker
Jun 23, 1958 — May 10, 2025
Perry Brooks Walker, 66, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025 after suffering a heart attack. He was surrounded by his family and friends who loved him dearly. We're sure he was received on the other side of the veil with huge hugs, smiles, celebration and joy from the many loved ones there.
Perry was born on June 23, 1958 in the old Lehi hospital and was the 2nd son of Lorin Dale and Bette Lou Walker. Perry had three brothers (Terry, Larry and Barry) as well as one sister (Sherry Lou).
Perry was an adventurous and curious boy who loved to tinker and find out how things worked. This sometimes led to trouble and other times to success! He attended schools in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High School. Perry was involved in the scouting program where he earned his Eagle Scout award. After high school graduation, he went on to graduate with honors from Weber State with a Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology.
After graduation, he put his knowledge to use when he and his brother Terry opened Walker Electronics. Perry then worked back East in Maryland and Virginia as a software engineer for several years. In 2002 he moved back to Lehi and he and his brother Barry built a nice home together.
Perry was a kind, gentle and peaceful soul, who loved to be surrounded by family and friends but was also content with his own company. He loved working on the computers he had built from scratch and enjoyed collecting all things Star Trek/Star Wars as well as many other collections. He loved computer games, movies, music and trivia. He had a brilliant mind and knew facts about anything and everything. His vast knowledge was amazing!
Perry was the family "Techie" and "Help Desk" for anything computer related and was always happy to come and help.
Perry was greatly loved by his many nieces and nephews, especially when he would make his famous chili at family gatherings and if he would dress up for the Halloween party it was always a hit! We will miss seeing him with his collared shirt and pocket protector!
We love you dearly Perry! We will miss you so much, especially your kind words, smiles, witty sarcasm and dry humor.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Lorin Dale Walker and Bette Lou Brooks Walker, as well as his sister Sherry Lou Walker Flewallen (Steven), his brother Terry Dale Walker, and sister-in-law, Susan Carter Walker. Perry is survived by his brothers, Larry Lorin Walker (Jeanne) and Barry Charles Walker (Jared) as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. We would like to thank the first responders as well as the doctors and nurses that cared for Perry with such love and efficiency. The family would also like to thank all of the many friends and neighbors who have offered service and condolences in many different ways during this difficult time.
