Obituary

Phillip Haslam Peterson, 69, died at Utah Valley Hospital surrounded by his family on July 17, 2024 after a short stay brought on by a long battle with various health issues.

He was born August 19, 1954 in American Fork Utah to Valno and Ada Peterson. He married Julie Lowe from Franklin, Idaho on February 24, 1977 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Phillip worked as a Health and Environmental Safety officer for Flowserve for 43 years. He also worked as an Environmental Engineer Consultant for Maca Supply Company for 34 years as well as an EMT for Springville City. He served an LDS mission to England and Wales and has been a faithful active member of the LDS Church all his life; having served in the bishopric and other various callings.

He is survived by his wife Julie , his sisters Susan Peterson, Valerie Jensen (Wendell), and Katie Tree (Delbert), his brothers Stephen (Barbara)  Mark (Linda),) and Douglas (Brenda) Peterson, his children Joshua, Cody (Kim), Tyson (Sherri), and Leah Ester; 12 grandchildren, and one great grandchild Lillie Ann. His fourth born son, Trevor Clark, proceeded him in death.

A viewing will be held from 6-8 pm on Sunday July 21st at the LDS chapel located at 235 East 550 North in Springville. Another viewing will be held at the same location on Monday July 22nd from 9:30-10:30 am with the funeral services to be followed at 11 am. Interment will take place afterwards at The Lehi City Cemetery located at 1000 North 400 East.
