Obituary

Ralph David Pratt, 93, of American Fork, passed away peacefully at home on December 25. He was born January 15, 1930 in American Fork, the son of Weston Vernon Pratt and Lorena Peterson. He married Geraldine (Geri) Bennett, September 22, 1950 in the Salt Lake Temple. Dad loved camping with family and friends, trail bike riding, sports and traveling with mom.


He loved his family. They were the center of his life. The grandkids especially enjoyed the Easter and Christmas parties with grandpa. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings during his lifetime. He loved being a temple worker in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple and serving missions with his wife in Ireland and Nauvoo, Ill.


He is survived by his children, Valerie (Voyne) Madsen, Karen (Butch) McCandless, Gary (Kellie) Pratt, son-in-law Allan (Brenda) Hadfield, 16 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geri, daughter, Lorena Hadfield, his parents and brothers.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 30, at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 that morning at the American Fork 5th ward church at 381 S. 300 E. Burial will be in the American Fork Cemetery following the services.
