RaNell Elizabeth Sellers-Goldthorpe died peacefully of cancer at home on December 30th, 2021. On December 17th, 1971, she was born to Fred and Joyce Anderson in Pocatello, Idaho, the second of six children.

RaNell was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Whether serving in the Relief Society or Primary, she deeply loved and commitment to the gospel and those she served.

RaNell enjoyed playing the violin, photography and running. While living in Payette, Idaho, she loved playing in the Treasure Valley Symphony. She found so much joy and satisfaction in running, whether she ran a Turkey Trot or an ultra-marathon. RaNell was a devoted and loving wife and mother. A school play, a basketball game, or a loving embrace, she was always there. She created a loving home dedicated to her family.

RaNell was a photographer early in her career. In recent years, she was the athletic director and coach at Rockwell Charter High School in Eagle Mountain, Utah. She coached track and cross country. She truly enjoyed working with colleagues and student-athletes.

RaNell is survived by her loving husband Ken Goldthorpe, her children: Mason, Amaria, Malia, Marshall, Alyssa, her parents: Fred and Joyce Anderson, her brothers Ryan (Angela) and Jerry (Jen) Anderson, her sisters: DeNae (Adam) Saavedra, Lacey (Joey) DeBuck, Kristal (Chris) Gray. RaNell is preceded by her previous husband, Scott A. Sellers, and niece Sariah Lucero.

A funeral service to honor RaNell will be held at 11:00 AM January 8th, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – 9475 N Mustang Way, Eagle Mountain, Utah 84005. A viewing will begin at 10:00 AM.

The Sellers-Goldthorpe family is deeply grateful to friends and nurses who offered RaNell such compassionate care and love over the past months.
