It is with great sorrow, that we announce the passing of our beloved Rebecca Cowley (26), who passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Rebecca was born November 14, 1994 to David and Rama Cowley in Sandy, Utah. The family moved to Lehi shortly after where Rebecca would grow and flourish. Rebecca began learning piano at a young age and developed into an accomplished pianist and organist, happily accommodating requests to play for multiple events.

After graduating high school with her Associates degree from UCAS, she quickly finished her schooling at UVU in Education. Over 5 years, Rebecca taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade in Provo and Alpine School Districts. She was patient and passionate about each of her students and their families, making sure they were taken care of in and out of the classroom. Many of her students referred to her as Miss Honey.

Rebecca was a light to those around her and was never seen without a smile. She was loved by all and easily made friends with everyone. She was always sincere in her interactions with others and would go out of her way to brighten someone's day. Perhaps her only vice was her competitive nature in a game of cards and her questionable tactics she would use to win.

Rebecca was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission to Paraguay. She served in various responsibilities in her different congregations.

Rebecca is survived by her loving parents and siblings; Matthew (Olivia), Jennifer, Nathan, Colby (Emma), and Kristin. who are left with many cherished memories of her.

A celebration of life for the public will be held for Rebecca from 9:00-10:45 AM on Monday, June 7, 2021 at the Cedar Hollow Stake Center at 2178 North 1200 East, Lehi, Utah 84043. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
