Obituary

Reed T. Street, 83, was born in Lehi on December 30, 1936, to Edwin and Mabel Street. He was the youngest of 9 children. He graduated from Lehi High School where he played on the football team as a middle linebacker and running back. He went on to play for Utah State until an injury ended his career. Reed married his sweetheart, Midgie Peterson, on May 4, 1963. They were blessed with three children and celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Reed grew up on a farm and was a very hard worker. Growing up he helped his parents run the Street Boat Camp at Deer Creek Reservoir during summers. He worked for a time at Geneva Steel and then at Hercules as a Test Range Engineering Technician for close to 40 years.

He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports from horse racing to football. He especially loved his BYU Cougars and had season tickets for many years. He also coached little league football and bantam basketball. After he retired, Reed was a crossing guard. The children loved to see him each day where he would give them all "high-fives". He also worked as a greeter for Wal-Mart. He loved meeting people and would make friends everywhere he went. Most of all he loved his family and wonderful wife.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and grandson Tyson. Survived by his children Jeffery (Kim), Sherri (Allen) Larsen, and Todd (Shelley), 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
