Obituary for Richard Lewis Cooper, May 15, 1932

Richard L Cooper, DDS passed away peacefully Oct 10, 2022 at his home in Independence, MO.   Born and raised in Lehi, UT May 15, 1932 to Josephine and Howard Quayle Cooper. Richard was the youngest of four brothers - Eugene, Gary and John Berry (JB).

Richard enlisted in the Navy from 1952 and was honorably discharged 1956 with a Medal of Good Conduct.

He married Mary Lynnel Johnson-Cooper and produced three children, Robyn Loi, Richard Lynn and Kelli Jene. He is also the proud grandfather of six.

The love of his craft, dentistry is most evident even after many years of retirement. People of all ages and walks of life would stop him in grocery store or anywhere he happened to be, to let him know how beautiful his work and how caring, considerate and helpful he always was. His other love was travel and he was able to go around the world twice, bring home many memories and items to remember the country, people and sights.

He enjoyed life with all it had to offer. His quick, witty sense of humor was always in attendance no matter where he went.   All this and more he is missed terribly.

Viewing will be held November 1 st , Wing Mortuary, 118 E Main St., Lehi UT 84043 at 10:00 am.   Services to follow at 11:00 am, also at Wing Mortuary with burial at Lehi Cemetery, 1525 N 600 E, Lehi UT 84043.
