Richard Barnes Weeks passed the test and returned to his Father in Heaven on February 17, 2024. Rich passed peacefully Saturday morning after a brief battle with heart failure. Rich was born in Glendale, California on December 16, 1941 to Lillian Barnes Weeks and James Edwin Weeks.

Rich married his loving wife of 56 years, Edith Josephine Reilly Weeks, on June 13, 1967 in the Oakland California LDS Temple.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents James and Lillian and his siblings Robert, Maurine, George, Vearl, and Margaret. Rich is survived by his wife Edith Jo and his children; Tim (Hilary), Tom (Sandy), Greg (Aimee), Andy (Jennica), and Jeff (Trina). Rich is beloved by his grandchildren McKenzie (Brady), Seth (Bailey), Calli (Kayden), Meg (Max), Anna, Kate, Zane, Grant, Keely, Marley, Dallin, Claire, Tate, Noah, Levi, Xander, Liz, Quinn, Jaxon, Maren, Aria, Everett, Lincoln, and Piper; and great grandchildren Graham and two on the way.

Rich was known for his amazing kindness, humility, and giving nature. He served his family with steadiness and was a support to all who knew him. Rich was a husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law, business leader, entrepreneur, coach, and friend. He will be greatly missed and remembered with fondness by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, February 24 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ward Building located at 127 E 3200 N, Lehi, UT 84043. His viewing will be from 10:00AM to 11:45AM, and his service will begin at 12:00PM.
