Robert Curtis Beverly

May 21, 1930 – January 26, 2026

Robert Curtis Beverly, age 95, died peacefully on January 26, 2026, at Utah Valley Hospital, surrounded by his loving daughters.  Before his passing, he was visited by almost all of his Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren during his short stay in the hospital.

Curtis was born May 21, 1930 to Magnolia Florence Curtis and James Franklin Beverly at his family home in the small community of Springdell, Utah, located at the mouth of Provo Canyon.

Curtis was a lifelong resident of Lehi City and met his forever sweetheart, Carol Cedarstrom during a High School Biology outing to Bryce Canyon.  And, as they say, the rest is history.  They married October 29, 1949 in Elko, Nevada and together had 6 daughters, Kathy Johnson (Norman), Connie Stagg (Larry), Roberta Beverly, Donna Hood (Kevin), Dianna Clements (Mike) and Jeannie Phillips (James).  In addition, he has 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren.  Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Carol, and two daughters, Roberta and Donna, as well as, his parents, all of his siblings, and several nieces and nephews.

Curtis retired as Road Department Foreman from the Utah County Public Works in 1987 with 27 years of service.  Although, he was the foreman, he preferred operating the big road equipment.  He was expert in their use and operation and was known as a "working foreman".  The hardest part of his job was to step back and let his crew operate the equipment because he enjoyed that type of work so well.

Curtis worked hard and played hard his entire life.  He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping, trap shooting, golfing and spent a lifetime enjoying these activities with his family and friends.  Curtis had a deep love for music that was evident to everyone who knew him.  Whether he was singing, dancing, or simply enjoying the rhythm, Curtis's musical energy always brought life to any gathering.  Many memorable moments were spent with Curtis as he played his guitar, serenading those around him.  His heartfelt performances created lasting memories.

Curtis was a faithful member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 31 years.  During those years he held several offices and became Aerie President in 1977 and Aerie Father in 1980.  Curtis was also an Orator and, along with his fellow officers, successfully competed at both State and Tri-State competitions.
