Ronald "Ronny" Boren, 62, made his final transition the night of November 6, 2024, after a long battle with COPD and heart problems. He passed away at home in the company of his beloved wife, Ruth Abela.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Abela; daughter, Taira Boren (Steven); grandchildren, Jorden, Matthew, Nicholas, Lily, and Eva; brothers, Danny (LuJuanna), Johnny (Tracy) and Jim Loveless; sisters, Brandy (Andy), Aranda (John), and Shere Loveless.

He joins his mother, Judy Smith; father, Ron Boren; daughter, Ashley Boren; brother, James; sister, Marie Lana Kidd; Michelle Kidd; and niece, Nichole Boren.

He worked most of his life as a mechanic and it was very important to him that you learned a trade in life.

He was highly active throughout his entire life, being an avid snowboarder and loving to play golf with his friends. He was a very passionate chef and loved to make friends and family happy through his exquisite dishes. He enjoyed music and drinks with friends. He loved the outdoors, whether camping, fishing, or hanging out at the lakes; his favorite was Lake Powell. He loved taking long rides on his Harley and going on road trips to see the beauty of the outdoors. While he was not as active towards the end, he loved playing online games like World of Warcraft and Star Wars. He felt it was his duty to teach his wife all his cooking techniques and help in his own way. He also absolutely loved spending time with his daughter and grandkids over video calls.

Ron was an amazingly cool, one of a kind dad to his two daughters and a wonderful papa to his five grandchildren. He never let them feel like they weren't good enough and was always there when they needed a shoulder to cry on. He was their protector. He was always a protector of his family and loved his brothers and sisters fiercely!

He was a great man with a gigantic heart who was devoted to his family. He wanted to make sure everyone else was okay and happy. He did not worry about himself much; he always worried about everyone else.
He was a grumpy old man who made Ruth's life complete and full of happiness. His strong embrace was her security, and his bright smile was the light of her life.

Ron will always be missed; he made a huge difference in many people's lives. He welcomed his mother and father-in-law into his home and loved them with all his heart.

He also shared a strong, special bond with his two dogs, Ozzie and Sissy, affectionately calling them "big girl" and "my little boy." They miss him dearly.

A viewing will be held In honor of Ron at, Wing Mortuary 118 East Main. Lehi, Utah 84043. Tuesday, November 12th from 4-6pm.
Ron will always reside in our hearts. May he be at peace now and watch over us from heaven above.
