Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Rosie May Ball Stratton, passed away peacefully, at the age of 96, on the morning of Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in her home.

Rosie was born January 9, 1926 in Heman, Idaho to Thomas and Sarah Ball. She was the youngest of sixteen children. She grew up on a farm in Idaho and learned how to work hard at a very young age. She often spoke about how much she loved going to town with her father to sell eggs because she was able pick out a treat.

In her younger years, Rosie worked as a dispatcher for a taxi company and as a radio operator. It was there she met Robert Jackson. They were married on October 27, 1945 in Idaho. They had three children together and later divorced.

On February 20, 1961, she married John Lewis Stratton in Boise, Idaho. John had five children and together they had two daughters to complete their family.
Rosie loved going for drives in her minivan, she was willing to go anywhere but one of her favorite places was driving through Daybreak. She loved looking at the houses and said it reminded her of the past. She enjoyed shopping; she would go up and down each aisle looking for that special something and would get just as excited when she returned home and would go through her bag of goodies.

Rosie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in several callings over the years. Genealogy was very important to Rosie; she spent numerous hours working on family history and always double-checked everything for accuracy.

Rosie loved her family and they love her. We will all miss her very very much.
Rosie is survived by her loving children: Barbara (Larry) Guercio, daughter-in-law Debbie Stratton, Carla (Brad) John, Tammy (Derek) Anderson, Judy Stratton, Carol Wills, Nancy (Wayne) Ricks, John (Connie) Stratton: 29 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, John Stratton, three children, Rod, Lori and Dale Stratton, son-in-law Bob Wills, her parents and her siblings.

A viewing will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. Graveside service will be held at Alpine City Cemetery, 400 Grove Drive, at 2:30 PM following the viewing.
