Sandra Octova
Parker Geddes
Aug 28, 1932 — May 2, 2023
Sandra Octova Parker Geddes
Born 28 August 1932 in Knox City, Texas, she and her family escaped the dust bowl for California.
Shortly after graduating from Mt. Diablo High School in Concord she met her marine for eternity, Donald Geddes, and tied the knot 16 February 1952.
They eventually made their home in Sonoma raising Donna, Margaret, Patrick, Dan, Lynn, Barbara and Sharon.
They had a year long adventure in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico with the kids and another year in Xi'an, China teaching English and the gospel when the kids were grown. She hung plates collected by her and her family from all over the world, nourished Thousands with Meals on Wheels, created harmony with Sonoma Valley Chorale, read tens of thousand of books, was devoted to the 49ers and even more so to her Savior. She lived by the motto "Work as if everything depends on you, pray as if everything depends on God." And she did, to the end.
She was peacefully reunited with Don on 2 May 2023, leaving behind a legacy of a good heart and no-nonsense attitude along with a quilt for each of her 7 children, 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday May 12, 2023 at the Alpine Stake Center 327 South Long Dr. Alpine, UT. at 1:00 PM.
