Sharlene Denise Knowlton, age 72, was born in Murray, Utah, and passed away peacefully at home on the night of Saturday, March 28, 2026, surrounded by her daughter.

She was raised in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, and spent most of her life in Utah. She was the beloved daughter of Vernon and Sylvia Park and the middle of three sisters, with Linda as the eldest and Marlene as the youngest. Her Greek heritage was an important and cherished part of her identity.

Sharlene was a devoted mother to her two children, Mike Newman and Chrissy Albertson, and extended that love far beyond, embracing many others as her own. Though she did not have biological grandchildren, she loved all of her grand pups throughout the years, along with a beloved kitten and a cherished granddaughter not by blood. Above all, Sharlene was known for her incredibly kind heart. She led with compassion in everything she did, always putting others first and finding beauty in life's smallest moments. She had a deep love for animals, a gentle and caring spirit, and brought warmth and light to everyone she met.

She had a playful and adventurous side. She loved thunderstorms, motorcycles, and IndyCar racing, and in her younger years even took part in street racing. She had a remarkable way of knowing people from all walks of life and was often quick to say, "Oh, I knew them," whether speaking of bikers, racers, or even celebrities.

She loved simple joys—good movies and TV shows, lively conversations that could last for hours, and always had a tune humming as she went about her day. She also had a fondness for chocolate in all forms, as well as a great burger or prime rib.

Sharlene was a radiant light—kind, thoughtful, and deeply loved by all who knew her. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering love for her family will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
