Sharon Marie Fox Hallam, 80, of Eagle Mountain, Utah, passed away on April 22, 2026. Sharon was born on November 9, 1945, in Ogden, Utah, at Dee Memorial Hospital, and grew up in Lehi, Utah, the daughter of Don and Thelda Fox.

On June 7, 1965, Sharon married George Wilford Hallam. Together they built a life centered on family and caring for others.

Sharon graduated from Lehi High School in 1964 and later earned her associate's degree in nursing from Utah Valley University. She took her RN licensure exam on February 15, 1989. Sharon served for eight years as an EMT with American Fork Hospital and the Pleasant Grove Ambulance Association, and then devoted her career to nursing, including work at Utah Valley Hospital, the Alta View Emergency Room, the University of Utah Dialysis Unit, the Utah Valley Heart Cath Lab, and as a nurse at the Utah County Jail in Spanish Fork.

Those who knew Sharon will remember her for the steady care she offered and the way she showed up for her family, friends, and patients. She loved reading, arts and crafts, sewing, gardening, and genealogy indexing, and she had a gift for creating something meaningful with her hands and her time. She also cherished time spent talking together, gathering for meals and holidays, and traveling with her family. Sharon was so well known in the medical community that, years later, when she ran into people still working in the profession, they would say, "You know, Sharon—we still hear stories about you." Above all, Sharon was deeply loving and caring—someone who would do anything for the people she loved. She was a "nurse" to her children and grandchildren in every sense of the word, and she and George opened their home to family members, helping many get back on their feet. Family still smiles remembering the day one of her kids came home with a deep cut from barbed wire; Sharon calmly said, "Sit down—we're going to stitch this up," because there wasn't insurance at the time. She numbed it first, but when they fainted mid-stitch, she brought out smelling salts and insisted, with love and firmness, "You did this, and you're going to be awake for it." She was also full of advice, and people came to her when they needed help; if you asked, you could count on Sharon for the bold truth—always offered with love, and always what you needed to hear. One of her simple pieces of advice was: "If it hurts, don't do it." Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sharon is survived by her husband, George Wilford Hallam; her sister, Rosalie Fox; her children, Mike (Karen) Hallam, Anissa (Brad) Bangerter, Rebecca (James) Raburn, and Missy (Toby) Lee; and 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Peggy Hallam Covington Tatum, Stacy Hallam, and Stephanie Hallam.
