Sharron J. Preston Guymon
Sharron Guymon of Lehi, Utah passed away peacefully in her home on November 6th, 2025. She was born on January 9th, 1939 to the loving parents of John & Vera Preston in Sunnyside, Utah.
She was the sixth child to be born into a very musical family. In her youth she enjoyed singing with her sisters, they sang at weddings, funerals, and contests. In her adult life she formed a trio and continued performing. The trio consisted of Rae Shepard, Merialann Averette & Sharron Guymon with pianist Janice Healey.
Sharron graduated from Carbon County High School in 1957. There she met the love of her life Arthur Guymon and they married the summer after graduation. They raised their four children in Spanish Fork, Utah. The eldest daughter Valynn (Jerry) Edwards, next came Ardith (Todd) Schaugaard, followed by Brenda (Kevin) Monk, and finally baby Paul (Colleen) Guymon.
She enjoyed crafting especially crocheting where she made many afghans & beautiful clothing for dolls. She enjoyed being around family, spending time with her grandkids at Sunday get-togethers. She enjoyed traveling with her husband mostly up to the cabin they built together. She held many positions in the LDS Church and enjoyed her mission work at the Family History Center.
Sharron is survived by her four children, sisters Ellen Kinyon, Estella Hobbs, Faye Eller, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren with one on the way, and finally one great-great-grandchild with one more on the way as well. Sharron was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters Betty Jean & Ruth Sandell, brother John Preston, and granddaughter Janice Edwards. The family would like to thank, Senior Helpers and Aspen Ridge Health Care for all of their love and support.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday November 13th, 2025, at the Sego Lily Ward Chapel, 880 North 700 East Lehi, Utah 84043.
Viewings will be held the night of Wednesday, November 12th from 6 - 8 PM at Wing Mortuary in Lehi, Utah, and before the funeral service at the church from 10-10:30 AM.
