Shirley Jeanne Ford 1929-2023, Lehi, Utah.

On April 15, 2023, beloved daughter, wife and mother, Shirley Jeanne Ford, peacefully slipped away from this life to rejoin her beloved Archie, her parents Jim and Pearl and many other loved ones who preceded her and, were anxiously awaiting their joyful reunion.

Born on January 28, 1929 in Denver Colorado, Shirley was adopted as their much loved and awaited baby daughter, by James Lester Daniels and Ina Pearl Morgan. She was raised in Sanford Colorado where she enjoyed the companionship of her cousins, who were also her dearest friends, her favorite Aunt Jennie and scores of other loving relatives.  On August 24, 1949 she married Archie Dale Ford in the Salt Lake Temple in an ordinance performed by Elder Mark E. Petersen of the Quorum ion the Twelve Apostles.

Shirley was known to all as a cheerful dedicated and faithful servant off the Lord, who with her beloved Archie, served on missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Texas (Spanish American Mission), Uruguay (twice), Argentina and California. She also served in various leadership positions in the Relief Society and Primary organizations in California, Texas, Uruguay, Peru, Nevada, and Utah and loved serving with and supporting Archie in numerous callings in various Spanish speaking branches of the Church over the course of their marriage. Shirley was a firm believer in the saying "If you can't say anything good about someone then don't say anything" She treated all with love and respect and was considered by many of the labor missionaries who served with her and Archie as" Mom".

Shirley is survived by her loving children Richard Dale Ford and Jennifer Lynette (Wayne) Beck.  She is the the Grandmother of 7 grandchildren, Chad Beck, Brent Beck, Ross Beck, Amy Beck, and Richard Ford Jr, all of Lehi, as well as Alison Pedroza and Julia Eloreaga of El Paso, TX.  She was also the proud Great Grandmother of 13 Great Grandchildren. Besides Mom and Grandma, Shirley was known as Mimi, Grammy, Funny Grandma Grandma Chocolate. She loved spending time with her grandkids playing School on the steps, hide and seek and other games, as well as indulging them with her home made fudge and her stashes of chocolate.

A Memorial service for Shirley will be held at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street in Lehi at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 6, followed by interment in the Lehi City Cemetery.  A viewing for friends and family will be held at Wing Mortuary from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
