Obituary

Shirley Fae Yates Burnham returned to her Heavenly Father on February 22, 2024 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was born on May 13, 1945 in Lehi, Utah, the daughter of Geraldies Edward and Eva Jane (Louder) Yates.


Shirley was raised in Lehi, Utah and graduated from Lehi High School, class of 1963. After graduation she attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake, graduating in 1964. She then attended BYU for a few semesters and worked as a secretary in the Army ROTC.


She married Keith Burnham for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in February 1969. They celebrated their 55 year anniversary just before she passed. They settled in Lehi until 1997, then lived in Eagle Mountain until 2017, and were currently living in Washington, Utah. Shirley was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings and capacities.


She is preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by husband Keith Burnham, their children Tesila Burnham, Kemp Burnham (Amy), Shalynn Wilson (Marc), Taylene Lund (Jared), 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She's also survived by a sister, Myrna Daly and a brother, Cecil Yates.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2 at 11:00 A.M. in the LDS Chapel located at 1149 North 300 West, Lehi, Utah. Viewings will be held at the same chapel Friday, March 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Saturday, March 2 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.
