Obituary

Steven Owen Hansen of American Fork, Utah passed away at the age of 70 in his home on March 13, 2025, after struggling with health issues for several years. His tired heart gave way and he was finally reunited with his sweetheart after being 13 years apart. He was born on July 30, 1954, to deceased Owen Lewis Hansen and deceased Norma Palmer Hansen. He married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Teresa (Madsen) Hansen on March 31, 1973. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Provo LDS Temple on October 8, 1983, and cherished the 38 years of inseparable companionship.

Steve worked for Chadwick Masonry and IMS through his career as a brick mason. He worked hard to provide for his family and set a true example of what hard work is, working long hours, and often having to travel out of state to make ends meet. After Terry's retirement, she had the opportunity to travel with him to work on a job in Colorado. They loved and cherished the time they got to spend together. Steve often performed side jobs and special projects to pay for his kid's extracurricular activities. His kids were his life and he would do whatever was required of him to make sure they were taken care of.

Steve was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and cherished his relationship with his savior. Family always came first, and Steve loved spending time with his family on trips to Disneyland, camping up American Fork Canyon, hunting, fishing, and quick trips to Southern Utah. Throughout Steve's life, if you didn't find him at work or home, you would find him at a ballpark or dance competition supporting his kids, and later on, his grandkids.

Steve was a selfless and caring husband and father. He was the perfect example to his six children, Jamie (Dustin) Peterson, Justin Hansen, Jeffery (Hillary) Hansen, Jacob (Sharee) Hansen, Jordon (Jessica) Hansen, and Jorey Hansen. Steve also leaves behind his brother, Rock Hansen, his sisters, Jan, Anita, and Gina, 20 grandkids, and 9 great grandkids. He was welcomed into his heavenly home by his parents, Owen and Norma Hansen, his loving wife, Terry Hansen, his son, Justin Hansen, and many other loving family members.
