Obituary

Suzan Ann Smith
Sept. 2, 1953 – May 11, 2021

Susan Ann Smith was born to Ivan and Bertha Johnson on September 2, 1953. She passed away May 11, 2021 at her home in Lehi, Ut surrounded by family. Suzan grew up in Lehi and attended Lehi High School. She later received her cosmetology license. Sue was a hard worker and did not like to be idle. Along with her small business at "Suz's Shop" where many friends and family fondly remember her doing their hair, she also worked in management for many years. She was a natural born leader. She had many joys in life. She was a life-long crafter. She could craft just about anything from old bottles, wonder horses, porcelain dolls, to even coffee filters. She was also passionate about shopping and finding a good bargain. Her shoe collection probably could rival Imelda Marcos. Her greatest joy seemed to be spoiling her grandchildren. She always made sure they had plenty to entertain them at the family parties she loved to throw. Sue also genuinely loved serving as a primary teacher for many years and the primary children loved her in return. She was particularly gifted with children as they all just seemed to love her instantly and everyone, family or not, affectionately called her "Grandma Sue".

Sue married the love of her life, Craig D. Smith, on February 14, 1983 who lovingly cared for her until the very end. She is also survived by her two brothers Blaine (Karen) and LeVan ; five children Victor Smith (Hillary), Jennie Nicolaidis (Alex), Chad Peterson (Melissa), Derek Peterson (Shawnna), Cara Anderton (Jay); 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
