Suzanne Elizabeth Morrell Kohler, age 53, beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away on April 16, 2023, after complications following aortic dissection repair. Born August 26, 1969, in Boise, Idaho, to Robert Henry Morrell and Mary Lee Scott Morrell, Suzanne grew up in Boise with her brothers Scott and Steve. She loved swimming on the Crane Creek Country Club swim team, camping, water skiing, and going to the cabin at Cascade Lake where they would play board games; both Steve and Scott recall Suzanne yelling "Sorry!" after winning yet another round. After graduating from Boise High in 1987, Suzanne, known by many as "Mötley Crüe Sue," "Sue Crüe," "Suzie," or just "Sue," attended Oregon State University for two years before transferring to the University of Utah and graduating with a degree in marketing in 1992. Suzanne made the most of her college experience and made many lifelong friends through her membership in the Delta Gamma Sorority and spending time at the Sigma Nu Fraternity house where she was crowned the chapter's White Rose in 1990. Her big smile and dry sense of humor made her the life of any party.

Suzanne married Brook Millard on September 14, 1991. Although they later divorced, Savannah Jane and Delaney Grace were born of that union and were the pride and joy of her life. Suzanne was the fun, cool mom, in the neighborhood and wasn't one to sit on the sidelines. Suzanne enthusiastically joined each adventure, whether it was a road trip to some of the country's tallest rollercoasters, or floating a river in Thailand. On October 20, 2007, Suzanne married Cliff Kohler, making Lehi, Utah her home. Despite her love of travel, adventure, and loud music, Suzanne came to love the quiet of home with Cliff, even more so when her health worsened.

Suzanne was strong, fierce, and determined. This drive helped her find success in business while doing marketing and sales for some of the largest brands in the U.S. Her inviting personality and quick wit was magic when it came to selling razors for Gillette, schlepping beer for Carlson Distributing, marketing soda for Coca Cola or Dr. Pepper, or sports drinks for Sobe and Bang Energy. This same grit also helped her compete in a family triathlon with her brother Scott, her niece Ashley and her nephew James - she swam an incredible race!

Suzanne's nickname came from her love of the heavy metal band Motley Crüe; however, her music interests were diverse and wide-ranging. Suzanne was most comfortable near the front of any stage and could sing along with Lady Gaga as well as she could with Ozzy Osbourne. Suzanne also had quotable interactions with music artists that she met like Screaming Joe Elliott of Def Leppard and Bret Michaels of Poison— "The Trifecta."

Suzanne had a kind and generous heart and she lived her life with a "what you see is what you get" attitude. She lacked pretension; once you became friends, you had a loyal friend for life. Words cannot adequately express how sorely she will be missed. She is survived by her mother, Mary Lee Scott Morrell; husband Cliff Kohler; children Savannah Jane Millard, Delaney Grace Millard (Diego Mora), Chase Kohler, Katelyn Kohler (Stephen) Siano, and Casey Kohler; grandchildren Rigdon and Rainey Kohler; brothers Scott (Maribel) Morrell and Steve (Kristy) Morrell; nephews James Morrell, Eli Morrell and Russell Morrell and niece Ashley Morrell. Suzanne was preceded in death by her father.

A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kohler Residence, 7880 N. 8000 W., Lehi, UT.
