Tami
Miner
Apr 7, 1952 — Jun 22, 2022
Tamara Lee Peterson Miner was freed from her mortal body on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, returning home to her eternal companion, Dave. A glorious reunion she has longed for since his passing 11 years ago.
Tami was born on April 7, 1952 in American Fork, Utah to Donald & Melissa Peterson. She grew up in Pleasant Grove, Utah the oldest of 3 children, where they shared many adventures on the family farm.
While attending Utah State she met her sweetheart, David Ernest Miner. They were married on Sept. 13, 1974, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 13, 1991. Dave was the love of her life. They spent their days together gardening, exploring new trails on their side-by-side, watching Jazz games, & spending time with their three kids & grandkids.
After graduating college she became an elementary school teacher for the Murray school district. She was passionate about teaching children and helping them succeed. She would go above and beyond to make sure each child felt loved.
Her craftiness and ingenuity kept her busy. She loved hand crafting gifts for others. Even with her limited abilities, she managed to complete every project and brighten everyone's day with them. Her musical abilities warmed our souls with the melodies she played. Music could always be heard coming from her home. Because of this talent she held many church callings playing the piano in Primary & Relief Society.
Tami was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her testimony & love for her Savior was the foundation for her life.
Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. They were the light of joy in her life. She enjoyed spoiling them with popsicles and soda. They knew when mom said no, grandma would say yes.
Mom, you are loved more than words can express and will be missed by everyone who knows you. This world will not be the same without you in it.
Tami was preceded in death by her husband David, her mother, sister, & other dear friends and family. She is survived by her children; Scott (Michelle) Miner, Kiley (Quinn) Wing, Lindy (Trevor) Varney, and eleven grandchildren; Tanner, Tyson, Deegen, Ellexa, Cassidy, Ayden, TJ, Isaac, Embree, Mace & Tessa. She's also survived by her father and her brother.
