Tharesa Kathleen Allred Grace, lovingly known as Kathy, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, just shy of her 74th birthday, in Lehi, Utah, with family by her side.

Born on June 19, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Glen and Tessie Allred, Kathy spent most of her life in Lehi, Utah, surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of the mountains she loved.

Kathy dedicated many years of her life as a caretaker at the Utah State Developmental Center, where her compassion and kindness touched the lives of countless individuals and families. Her caring nature extended far beyond her work; she had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. She held several other jobs, allowing her to develop her craft and skills.

Kathy was a woman of many talents. She was a master in the kitchen, and her home was always filled with the aromas of her cooking and baking. She poured love into everything she did, whether it was crocheting a blanket, sewing a gift for someone she cared about, or creating beautiful works of art through painting and drawing. She found joy in using her hands to create, always thinking of others in the process. She never kept any of her creations and always gifted them to others.

As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kathy lived her life guided by faith and service to those around her. She continued to faithfully attend the temple with many of her fellow residents.

She loved watching scary movies with her youngest boys, going for rides with Josh, and spending time with her grandkids. The canyon during the fall colors was one of her favorites. She cherished anything with family.

Above all, Kathy will be remembered for her caring heart, her warm and welcoming smile that could light up a room, and a laugh that brought joy to all who heard it. Her love, creativity, and kindness leave a legacy that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Kathy is preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as an unborn son. She is survived by her loving children: Travis (Melanie) Grace, Suzan (Robert) Anderson, Michele (Layne) Ewell, Joshua Grace, and Daniel Grace. Kathy's legacy continues through her 16 cherished grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her love, warmth, and support.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Per Kathy's request, only a public viewing will be held in her honor on June 13, 2025, from 6–8 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 E Main Street, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful life of a woman who gave so much of herself to others.
