Tracy Lynn
Wright
Dec 29, 1963 — Jul 30, 2021
Tracy Lynn Wright was born December 29, 1963 in Provo, Utah. He was the son of Dr. Herbert Curtis Wright and Jeannene Dowding Wright. He is survived by his four beloved daughters Ashley (Jacob) McClellan, Brynne (Blake) Wise, Jeannene (Jackson) Dozier, and Lauryl (Dayton) Furuya and his six beautiful granddaughters (Kaycee and Emma McClellan, Alyla and Ellie Wise, and Ahri and Aurora Furuya) and his one excellent grandson (Holland Wise). He is also survived by his brothers Dr. David (Chrissy) Wright, Dr. Newell (Julie) Wright, Gordon (Myrleen) Wright and Bryan (Shauna) Wright, and 11 loving nieces and nephews.
Life for Tracy was never easy, but he was a fighter and constantly showed courage in the face of tremendous adversity. He loved reading (especially Agatha Christie mystery novels), the music of Elton John, concerts in the car, trips through the drive-thru, and Diet Coke. Other than his family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Tracy's greatest passion in life was BYU football.
Dedicated to life-long education, he was a proud graduate of Brigham Young University with both a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science.
Tracy was, above all else, a gospel scholar and devoted follower of Jesus Christ. He was also a dedicated family man with an infectious smile, a hearty laugh, and a detailed storyteller. His mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the California Oakland Mission (1984-1985), was one of the highlights of his life.
He lived in Utah and Salt Lake Counties (UT) for most of his life. He left this world on July 30, 2021 and he will be sorely missed. "Please don't cry, and please don't say goodbye. Let's just say, 'I'll see you in a while.'"
