Valdess S Roberts passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 85, in Highland, Utah, from heart failure. She was born August 18, 1939, to Arthur I Sabey and Odessa Zimmerman Sabey. She grew up in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High School.

Her love of horses was a parent at an early age. Her first horse was Patches, and many more followed. She would gather her girlfriends and go horseback riding. She was involved in many school activities. She was prom queen in high school and became Miss Rodeo Utah in 1957.She married F Jay Manning. They were later divorced, out of this union, they had three children: Vicki, Bart, and Wade. She married Keith H Roberts on April 11, 1969. They have enjoyed 57 years together.

Mom was always her children's biggest fan, whether it was ballgames, cheerleading, or rodeos. She was there to cheer them on. She worked at All American Realty for many years, then started at Zions Bank as a loan officer and worked her way into executive banker. She was Utah's financial women's president in the 1990s. She retired after 25 years due to health problems.

After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends on vacation. She also enjoyed baking with the grandkids around Christmas and helping them with homemade bread from scratch. Mom was very talented and artistic. She did many paintings for her family. She also wrote the Lehi 10th Ward Roadshow and designed the costumes, which received awards. She was always up for the last-minute Halloween costumes she would put together for her grandkids and school projects. Another love in her life was her dogs. She showed boxers and French bulldogs and had grand champions in both breeds. She waswell-known in the Utah area. Her greatest joy was her husband, three children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Roberts, and children, Vicki(Lee) Strickland and Wade Manning. Grandchildren. Jacee (Sage) Strasburg, Lindsey (Ryan) Olsen, Chase Strickland, Jeramy (Jami) Manning, Zachary Hunter Manning, brother Mike Sabey. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Bart J. Manning, and many lovable furry babies. The family would like to thank The Charleston and Highland Glen Memory Care for their love and assistance over the last two years.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street, Lehi, Utah.  A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 AM prior to the service at the mortuary.  Interment will follow in the Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 North 400 East.
